Red Eden Rose was cultivated by Meilland (France, 2002) and is also known by names such as Eric Tabarly, MEldrason, Red Pierre, Rouge Pierre de Ronsard.

In China, "Red Eden Rose" is commonly referred to as "Red Dragon" or "Red Dragon Rose." This is a variety of climbing rose, with a height ranging from 200 to 450 cm and a flower diameter between 8-12 cm. The plant can produce over 100 blooms, which are cup-shaped and very full. The beautiful, rich red color of the petals leans slightly towards deep rose red, and the flowers adopt a nostalgic shape. The fragrance is intense, with each blooming period lasting about two months. In northern regions, this variety blooms only once per season.

The "Red Dragon" rose is highly heat-tolerant and is considered one of the three most heat-resistant rose varieties in Guangdong. Even during the intense summer heat, it continues to bloom continuously. As temperatures rise, its fragrance becomes stronger. It is particularly suitable for warm regions where it thrives as a climbing rose. However, this variety is not very rain-resistant, and rain can damage the blooms.

The branches of the "Red Eden Rose" climbing variety are well-branched, thick, and stiff, with green leaves that are dense and semi-glossy. It has good disease resistance but can be susceptible to damage from aphids.

In 2005, this variety won the title of "Best Climbing Rose" at the AARS (American Rose Society) competition in the United States.
